This structure and performance felt like the most complete works I’ve made for this project, featuring three chairs I had previously worked with and a lot of brown tape. The performance was based on how I wanted to improve my last one, and was inspired by some feedback I got on the chair structure, comparing it to some play climbing equipment. I wanted to engulf myself and become one with the chair, making it a living structure.

Once I had finished the performance, I decided to leave the tape and wood in the state they were in; it looked as though something had emerged from a plastic cocoon.

This was a performance I did with Art Carp, I wanted to explore how I could use the broken parts to intuitively create a headpiece.
