Here are some pictures of chairs I took at the National Museum of Scotland

The first few pictured are very ornate, probably commissioned especially by the original owners, and have been inscribes with symbols that may have signified some importance at the time, but are lost in the eyes of most modern viewers.

Following these are a display of chairs that have been praised for their innovative designs. I particularly like the wooden one which has been cultivated into that shape as it has grown, showing a kind of unity between humans and the natural world.
