I actually enjoyed doing this small project and I’m excited to see what everybody else has done.
I wanted to make this personal because I, like many others, have travelled far from their homes to come and stay locally in Edinburgh during a global pandemic to study an Painting course.
Whilst Edinburgh is a beautiful and vibrant city that holds a rich history and a mass of interesting people, I think that we can sometimes feel that we are very much alone despite the amount of support there is. I wanted this small piece of work to communicate that feeling of isolation, remoteness and loneliness, even if my initial postcards are just card and pen drawings.
