In the last tutorial I had, Dr. O’keeffe mentioned an interesting aspect to look at the key features of a key through psychology- the unlocking and locking of emotions and masking (personality). This idea immediately draws my interest so I decided to do new research on how I can subvert and add new meanings to the conventional functions a key holds by incorporating a psychological point of view in my final piece of work. The research can be seen in the image below.

 

Final Outcome:

The image above features the final illustration I did for this project. When your emotions are masked, you are the only one who can unlock them, to embrace the negativities and vulnerabilities. It’s okay to not be okay.
