After producing my listening sketches, I noticed some of the scratches and lines resembled the oscillations of sound waves. And I decided I wanted to create my own sound waves from the audios I had collected on my sound walks. I downloaded an app that recorded sound oscillations and took stills from segments within the sound recordings and translated these onto my own soundscape map. I took screenshots of moments from the recordings where more of the unnoticed and overlooked sounds were active and most dominant.

Below is small selection of some of the recordings I captured:
- Suitcase strolling through the streets
- Escalator churning
- Accordion and seagulls
- Reversing lory and crows
- Cathedral bells
- Birds at dusk and roaming vehicles
I enjoyed watching the sound waves change shape and movement and I wanted to represent these waves somehow for my final piece. I took the stills from these sound recordings and created my own ink sound wave map, each wave representing the hidden spaces I had discovered. I chose my favourite 12 sounds, all which captured these overlooked noises of the city. Each eave represents a different hidden location and sound.
