Why it was made

I wanted to try to envoke a journey with a beginning and end, similarly to the journey many people take along at night. The bird noises intermingle with the texting sound as they represent each other. I specifically put these sounds at the beginning and end, to signify the lone walker is messaging (or calling out) to let everyone know they have begun their journey and to let them know that they had returned home safely.

How it was made

I took a 2:30 minute section from the audio I took while walking home at 4:30 am one night in Edinburgh. This snippet did not have a lot of bird noises so I took the audio captured later on from the audio and merged the two together. I later recorded the typing sounds and overlapped them during the sections of bird noises.
