Intro – ¡Howdy!

¡Hiya!

My name is Haizea (Pronounced I-See-Ya),

I’m a second year-History of Art Student from Singapore and Spain :^) Back in Highschool, I used to make a lot more visual art but since moving to Edinburgh I haven’t been motivated to make as much. I’m really looking forward to doing and exploring more in this course! Some of my favourite artists are Alphonse Mucha and Francisco Goya and I enjoy working with watercolour, gouache, ink and just any mixed media. I love to focus on the ecological side of art and how humans interject into that narrative, specifically Marine Biology. As well as just art that doesn’t take itself too seriously and has a whimsical twist. I would really like to get into more 3D media and explore printmaking more. Can’t wait to meet y’all and see what everyone makes!
