Initial Set of Photographs

In this initial set of photographs, I begin to explore the chair as the found object. It is placed within an indoor environment where we would usually expect to see it used, yet its position in front of a door renders it awkward and produces slight tension. The idea of functionality lies central to this set, exploring how orientation renders the same object ‘useless’ yet amplifies the object’s sculptural properties; properties we may ignore when using the chair conventionally.
