Hi everyone,
I’m Sally Dolphin, a second year History student, and I was keen to take part in this course so I could continue to express my creativity. Artists who I would say particularly inspire me are the likes of Richard Diebenkorn, Picasso and Mark Rothko, who I found a particular appreciation for after watching the play ‘Red’, which unpacks his work, which many, myself included, find difficult to grasp. I enjoy discovering the artists’ process behind their art, something which these artists all explore, in the form of mixed media, collage, layering techniques etc. I am therefore excited to use this blog as an outlet for this further exploration over the coming weeks.
