I gain a lot of inspiration from Instagram and the photographers, videographers and content creators on there. I find the story telling and ‘personal blog’ feel of the posts really wonderful, and find it a good way to keep up to date with creators. Here is a few images I have saved over the last few months that have led me to make imagery the way I do for this current project.

Ryan Hill

James Bowdon // one of my favourite photographers who I am studying. I love the way he uses instagram for storytelling.

I love looking at illustration as a tool alongside photography.

Sam Morris, Ariel photographer

Elli Thor and his recent film photographs

Cait Miers, An Australian surf photographer. I love the mixture of female empowerment, design and art.

Gabrielle Nelson, analogue photographer

JJ Midwinter , from his latest book ‘the waves between’ with an accompanying film. I love what JJ says in an interview for the Finisterre ‘Broadcast’ describing his work as an “ode to the delight and sense of freedom that arises from connecting with the ocean”
