I find my instagram saved an amazing place to gather inspiration and see what I’m subconsciously drawn towards at that moment in time. I have been at home in Somerset and really feeling stuck with what to create. I base a lot of my work on life, and living, so when that’s a bit stunted, so is my work. Being in the countryside though I have been inspired by daily rural life, looking at photographers such as Dave Watts, Matilda Temperley, and the ‘our isles’ project. I love portraits of naturalistic makers, artist, and craftsmen. It leads into some work I was interested in last semester of alternative, slow living. A rejection of a capitalist life, and one based on the environment and living in balance with it.
