These chalk on black card attempt to communicate light within the Catholic Chaplaincy of Edinburgh Uni. The top image really highlights the dominant form of the glazed front framed by the tree like pillars that together create the ‘churchesque’ shape with natural light. The photo below shows how this light is reflected on the white wall opposite.
I also for the first time tried using a light meter to measure the flux in the different spaces of the building. Below are the daylight factor calculations I made using the collected readings.
