I’m really unsure why so many of my childhood memories revolve around food and eating said food in historical sites. In primary school when the weather was nice we were allowed to eat our packed lunches outside, me and my friends chose a perfect spot to eat, a neolithic burial site.

The neolithic cist was one of many found in Dalgety Bay and this particular one was deconstructed where it was found and rebuilt experimentally in the grounds of my primary school. I feel like it is largely overlooked and I just remember it being a place people left crisp packets.

I haven’t visited it since I left primary but I think the concept is more exciting than the reality.
