I find re-enactment incredibly interesting, having been drawn into it with my Visual Culture essay regarding Deller’s Battle of Orgreave.
Recently I have finished Remainder (McCarthy), which explores reenactment as an art form. I feel it can be applied to many areas of art, such as painting, looking at what reproduction is.
Although the narrator of the text has an increasing obsession, I feel these different scenarios, although fictional, can explore reenactment and the ethics around this form of art.
