Another wee walk in the woods

After my experiments on my bannister at home, I decided to head back into the woods to create almost an accumulation of my work and ideas so far. I liked the piece I did on the bannister, and received helpful feedback that it would be fitting to see my environment in the background, since that is after all what I’m trying to connect to.

I stayed with the idea of having a collection from the Fauldhouse area, largely inspired from Anthony Gormley’s ‘Field from the British Isles’ that I mentioned in my previous post. I think having a collection to represent and in a way study an area is an interesting way of trying to understand and grow my connection with the place I live.

This time, as I was not including my hand in the images and they weren’t taken in my home I added some personal belongings to my ‘collection’ just to make sure there is something that represents me in the image, and to connect it together with little parts of Fauldhouse.
