Precedent – Silence Room

Alex Cochrane Architects has created a space for shoppers at London department store Selfridges to find peace and quiet amid the bustling emporium. (2013)

London studio Alex Cochrane Architects built the space on the lower ground floor of the Selfridges as their interpretation of a previous silence room created by the store’s founder when it first opened in 1909.

Really like this one. Lighting can be an inspiration to design my lower ground floor room with no natural light.
