Logs

The  first thing noted upon entering the site is the sheer volume of logs piled high. They lie ready, waiting to be transported to a production plant to transfer the wood into a number of differing products. They are organised by diameter and ring specifications in order for the loading process to be swift and time efficient. The materiality of the pine shows the precision of the machinery along with the chipping from the bark and splinters along the horizontal grain. By closing in on the felled logs the expansion of the logs becomes a continuation horizon, a never ending assemblage.
