British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships 2023

In this blog post Angela Sturniolo, Research Support Officer in Edinburgh Research Office shares information about the British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships 2023 and provides details of an online information session taking place on 4 September.

The British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships is a 3 year fellowship for outstanding early career researchers in the humanities and social sciences to strengthen their experience of research and teaching in a university environment, allowing them to develop their CV and improve their prospects of obtaining permanent academic posts by the end of the fellowship.  It focuses on the completion of a significant piece of publishable research and on the integration of the award’s holder into the community of established scholars within their field.

Application process and deadlines

The British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowships application deadline date is 4 October 2023 at 17:00 UK time.

Information event

Edinburgh Research Office is running an online Information Session on 4 September 2023 at 14:00 UK time.

The event will be held by Ina Lindsay, Senior Research Funding Specialist and Jochen Mayer, Research Funding Specialist (Edinburgh Research Office) with the kind participation of Dr Shruti Chaudhry and Dr Simon Loynes both British Academy Postdoctoral Fellows, as guest speakers.
