About the Awards

Nominations are now open for the University of Edinburgh Good Research Practice Awards 2023. This is the second year we are running these awards where we recognise and celebrate contributions that provide leadership and act as role models for good research practice at the University. The awards have been organised by a University wide group of colleagues with reference to the UK Concordat to Support Research Integrity.

In these awards we want to continue our approach of seeking to recognise those who are making a major but perhaps unheralded contributions to the research environment and culture, for instance through positive and supportive engagement, or undertaking activities that enable the University to work to the highest standards of research integrity.

The awards are open to all University of Edinburgh researchers, postgraduate research students, technicians and research support professional services colleagues. Any current University of Edinburgh staff member or postgraduate research student can be nominated and where teams are nominated they should be wholly or largely based at the University of Edinburgh.

We will invite shortlisted finalists to the Good Research Practice Awards dinner on 24 November where the 2023 winners will be announced.
