Demand Managed Calls – Information and Support

In this blog post, Angela Sturniolo, Research Support Officer, introduces the new Demand Management pages and explains how to access support from Edinburgh Research Office for demand managed calls.

A number of research funding calls are managed at University level by Edinburgh Research Office.  Demand managed calls are funding calls which have a limit on the number of applications an institution can submit, and often need to go through an internal selection process.

We have launched new pages for sharing funding opportunities which require demand management support.  Details for all calls under the current academic year are available to help you with planning for applications.

View current Demand Managed Calls (UoE access only)

These pages help colleagues to:

  • Find information on upcoming calls, including expected dates and deadlines,
  • Read information on the internal selection process for each call including any internal deadlines,
  • Read up on eligibility criteria,
  • View the Edinburgh Research Office contact and support available for each call.

In addition to the new demand management pages, we also curate previously successful funding applications (UoE access only) which can help you in drafting your own proposal.

There is also the Funding Opportunities & Insights Hub (UoE access only) which highlights active funding opportunities through the Funding Opportunities calendar and offers insights into research funding bodies.
