We have recently launched new website resources to aid financial management and post award administration of research projects.
The new web content aims to bring all the information relevant to financial and post award administration together in an easy to use source of reference.
The resources will provide useful guidance to any University of Edinburgh researcher who is managing a research project and will also be of use for professional services colleagues in Schools, looking to support their researchers.
Starting your project
On the award of your grant we assist through the project start-up phase, ensuring you have the guidance and support to resource your project in line with requirements.
Edinburgh Research Office provides specialist knowledge and guidance on all aspects of post award grant management to ensure your project gets off to a good start.
Our website provides information on particular areas of starting your project including:
- staffing – information on University policies;
- Marie Curie Fellows;
- staff timesheets and time recording;
- research project VAT checking;
- due diligence; and
- access and guidance on IT systems for managing your project.
Managing your budget
Once your project is active we provide ongoing advice on financial aspects of managing your project, clarifying funder terms and conditions and supporting you to manage your budget effectively and meet reporting obligations.
We look to work with you collaboratively throughout your project to provide guidance on all finance and post award matters.
