Storytelling using Samoan Tattoo motifs/symbols

Lalovai  Pesetā  runs workshops in Samoa and Scotland on storytelling through Samoan Tattoos. He first introduces the students to Samoan Traditional Tattoos, explaining the meaning behind each motifs/symbols. He then shares how he has used these motifs/symbols to tell stories in his own paintings, carvings and contemporary tattoos.  Students are then invited to practice drawing Samoan Tattoo motifs/symbols. They are encouraged to work on an original drawing that can represent themselves and their stories by using Samoan Tattoo motifs/symbols.
