Beginning in Honolulu in Hawai‘i before moving onto Apia in Sāmoa, researchers, artists and poets delivered a wide range of community-based arts workshops, from the character workshops led by the graphic novel artists Simon Grennan and Solomon Enos to the Fast Talking PI poetry workshops led by Selina Tusitala Marsh.

The workshops took place at PRK and RLS middle schools in Honolulu, The National University of Sāmoa Fale and Vailima, the Stevenson estate, in Apia. As well as workshops for schoolchildren, the project team also ran creative writing workshops for adults and workshops for teachers and trainee teachers.
