The exhibition ‘Tusitala: Pacific Perspectives on Robert Louis Stevenson’ reflects on his Pacific legacy then and now. The display features new creative works, inspired by Stevenson and his Pacific stories, produced by Sāmoan, Hawaiian and British artists, poets, and filmmakers. The exhibition provides an overview of the AHRC funded project ‘Remediating Stevenson: Decolonising Robert Louis Stevenson’s Pacific Fiction through Graphic Adaptation, Arts Education and Community Engagement’ and brings into dialogue archivial items and new creative material.
The exhibition https://www.nls.uk/whats-on/tusitala/ is open to the public between November 2024 and 10 May 2025.
