The students were introduced to Virtual Reality technology in 2 hybrid sessions (both online and on-site). The VR headset used is the Oculus Rift. During the workshop the students also participated in 3 VR technology clinic sessions on-site. All the sessions were run by Mike Boyd from University of Edinburgh's uCreate team.

__Photospheres
The students viewed photospheres of the Edinburgh Futures Institute building in VR. The photospheres were the outcome of a collaboration between uCreate and Bennett's Architects.
“360 photography also referred to as 360 VR photography, 360 panoramic photography, 360 spherical photography, and photosphere.360 photography is the art of capturing the entire 360 degrees of a scene. This allows the viewer to explore the image by either scrolling/swiping across the screen or by using a VR headset."

_Gravity Sketch
The students experimented with Gravity Sketch and the co-creation feature.
"Express your ideas in real-time, at any scale, from concept sketches through to detailed 3D models. Create using a wide variety of digital tools in Virtual Reality and supporting tablet applications. Gestural interaction functions as the primary input method, providing an intuitive experience. You can rapidly explore and communicate ideas in 3D early in the design process to speed up development. You can solve spatial and ergonomic challenges in real-time."

_Co-creation feature
"Create and review together with colleagues from around the world, all in the same digital space with Gravity Sketche's co-create feature."
