Description

This workshop will bring the Edinburgh Futures Institute, Design Informatic’s students , uCreate, and Jason Bruges Studio together to re-imagine interaction design at the EFI amidst or post-pandemic.

Students will be called to design for the Edinburgh Futures Institute building of the University of Edinburgh either a ‘in the meantime’ intervention during or future intervention for post-pandemic situations.

We will try to envision how we move from pre-covid interactions towards meaningful novel interdisciplinary shared environments that blend aspects of the new normal with imaginative uses of technologies as a catalyst for discussions and public engagement.

We will focus on the Edinburgh Futures Institute Building and it’s public interior spaces. Our implementations will aim at embracing a nd promoting the ethos and vision of EFI on researching and understanding complex future scenarios and applying innovation from their data rich activities.
