Thank you for your work this week.

This week we wave goodbye to two Titans of LTW: Aileen Robertson and Wesley Kerr. The place simply will not be the same without them.

Wesley waves goodbye after 34 years at the University. He started back in 1991 as an IT Officer in the school of Chemistry and joined ISG’s learning technology team in 2007. We will have to close Moodle as we feel the loss of Wesley, and who can forget his Hauntology playlist Hauntology – Home created for LTW’s Halloween.

Aileen has also journeyed with us through mergers with Moray House, MALTS, Apps and LTW. Back in the day she was developing reprographics for teachers and learning objects in Flash. More recently, she has seen us safely off Edweb 1 and we can close the door behind her, confident that we are on a better path.

Also leaving now that migration has finished, we wave goodbye to Anna Sikora – Web Development Support Assistant – Napier Placement Intern, Peter Hedditch – Web Migration Project Assistant, Martin Ng – Web Migration Project Assistant, Eniola Onafowokan – Web Migration Project Assistant, and Sundas Saeed – Web Migration Project Assistant, all from the Website and Comms (WAC) section. Thank you for all the work you did in the mass migration.

Lest you worry we will be thin on the ground in WAC, please welcome Gareth Alexander- (well known in the Drupal community) who joins us this week as our new Senior Web Developer.

Thank you to Sonia and Stratos for the new and better design of our cookie consent banner, significantly more people are clicking on the banner and getting through to our website now. Measurable traffic from Google search has doubled.

Speaking of cookies, thanks again to everyone who supported the Bake Sale and Raffle, I have used the LTW random number generator (last used in our 2025 planning submissions) to choose the raffle winners, Charity Bake Sale Raffle winners are announced! we have raised more than £1,000.
