Football (ladies)

Ladies football team photoWe are the Edinburgh Medics Ladies Football Club – we are an extremely sociable society and welcome players of ALL abilities! From those who have never played before to those who have played a lot.

What do we do?

We train every Sunday at 11am on The Meadows. Our sessions are fun and relaxed involving a few skill-based exercises before heading into a game – we sometimes divert training to Starbucks (the weather predicts this). Following training sessions and games, we usually head to get (free!) nachos at a nearby pub.

We are involved in the University-wide women’s intramural league and SNIMS (a tournament against other medical schools in Scotland) and we have monthly friendly matches against the Vets/ Alumni team/ History FC/ University 4s and other recreational teams.

However, we are largely a relaxed club and most importantly, a close family. We know this semester/ perhaps year is going to be a bit up in the air but we would love to welcome you into the EUMLFCisLyf family with open arms (even if it is a 1+-metre-distanced welcoming). We have plenty of exciting socials coming up early into the year, including a Welcome picnic, Freshers Welcome social and more.
