Neurological Society

Society logoWe’re Edinburgh University Neurological Society.

Are you fascinated by the human brain? Eager to learn more about its intricacies?

If you are, we don’t blame you because it is arguably the most enigmatic organ in our body!

Who we are

We are a society deeply passionate about promoting cutting-edge knowledge in neuroscience, neurology and neurosurgery. Our main goal is to tailor this knowledge to our audience and make this accessible, digestible and engaging.

What we do

We have established 5 core project groups, each with a distinct colour.

Public engagement

We organize an annual public engagement event with healthcare professionals performing a simulation of brain surgery!

Neuroanatomy

We organise neuroanatomy tutorials in preparation for the National Undergraduate Neuroanatomy Competition (NUNC). There will be a separate revision tutorial for year 2 medical students.

Neuroscience

Join us for monthly TED-like talks throughout the year! We invite experts to share their views on highly debated topics. No background about the topic is required and everyone is welcome.

Neurosurgery

In collaboration with the Surgical Society, we organize high-quality neurosurgical workshops.

Conference

We host an annual conference that promotes the field of neuroscience, neurology and neurosurgery. We have had amazing speakers and attendees in the past. This is a great opportunity to connect and share ideas with people!

Strategy during COVID19

Events will be planned accordingly to government’s COVID19 regulations. It is highly likely that there will be an integration of online platforms.
