Group shot of clubWe’re the friendliest bunch of medics, all years and abilities  and ready to welcome fresh faces to the Medics Netball Team!!

We usually have some netball fun at the Main Sports Hall, CSE Pleasance Gym on Thursdays from 7-8pm. This usually involves some fitness, netball drills and match play.

We have some exciting Instagram workouts and socially distanced training planned for the start of term (under guidance of The Sports Union and Netball Scotland) so Medics Netball will be up and running from the beginning of the semester.

There’s something here for everyone, from loads of great socials and meeting new people, to fundraisers like Medics Reveal and Blood Drives. Our regular socials range from Freshers’ Welcome Drinks and Themed Nights with the Medics Rugby Boys to a Mystery Bus Tour and fun netball packed weekends at home or away such as SNIMS or to other universities (we’re looking into a paired weekend with Sheffield Medics Netball this year).

SNIMS is a yearly weekend of various sports and nights out with other Scottish and Northern Irish medics. The weekend rotates around 4 of the Scottish unis yearly. Medics Netball also always takes part in Medics Reveal which is an annual show put together by Edinburgh Medics to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust.

Oh, and we also play netball competitively in the Uni intramural league every Sunday!

All years and abilities are welcome, even if you haven’t played netball before. Medics Netball is a fab way to meet other medics in both your year and across medicine at Edinburgh. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions and we all hope to see you all soon in September.
