Medics’ Reveal run socials across the year to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT) in the lead up to our main event The Medics’ Reveal, a variety dance show, at the end of the year.
TCT is a fantastic charity that provides care and support across the UK for young people with cancer. TCT have built 28 specialist units across the UK and fund specialist nurses and youth support coordinators to work there. Medics Reveal have raised £85000 across the past six years to help this wonderful charity and despite the challenges of COVID-19 we are determined to carry on raising money for them this year.
Our fundraising socials are spread out across the year, loved by all (not just the cast!) and are a great way of meeting people across the Medical School. Whether it’s a pub crawl around Edinburgh, pub quiz or friendly sports tournament, everyone has a great time whilst also raising money for TCT!
We also raise money for TCT in other ways including carol singing, bake sales and a pre-loved clothes sale. All this culminates with a huge variety show at the end of the year, featuring 12 dances and run entirely by medics. In recent years this has been sold out to an audience of 800 people and is renowned across the uni as an incredible evening. We know first years love a good social and are welcome to be in the Reveal, so follow our social media pages to avoid missing out!
