Hi from Edinburgh University Cardiovascular Society!
We’re a growing student-run society made up of medical students from across the year groups, that are all extremely interested in cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery and vascular surgery.
In the past, we’ve organised cardiology tutorials and revision sessions aimed at clinical students sitting their exams, as well as Harvey Peer teaching sessions for those wanting to practice their clinical skills.
We’ve also worked with other societies like the RMS and ArtBeat on collaborative events, including well-attended ones like engagement sessions with cardiology consultants and heart anatomy workshops.
We’re also looking to run collaborative revision sessions aimed at first-year students doing their cardiology module. We’re looking to branch out a bit more this year in terms of the events we’re offering – so if you’ve got an idea that you’d like to see us help organise, be sure to approach us!
We’re open to everyone. Whether you’ve just published a paper on cardiovascular therapeutics and are looking to start discussion groups for your interest, or are just starting out in your journey to understand the intricacies of the heart and would like to sit in at one of our many CV-themed tutorials – we’ve got something to offer you!
