ATRIUM (Academic Training in Undergraduate Medicine)

group shot of society membersATRIUM is an academic society run by medical students for medical students interested in exploring or pursuing research during their time as an undergraduate, both formally through the curriculum of SSCs and intercalated projects, but also through additional opportunities.

We provide practical advice and insight into clinical academia through a series of talks, workshops and clinics and support students looking to undertake the academic foundation programme.

We also host an annual national conference for students to showcase their prestigious cutting edge research. We are partnered with the national INSPIRE group for research, the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and have close ties with the Edinburgh ECAT scheme.

Follow us on Facebook to find out about our talks and research masterclasses specifically tailored for pre-clinical medical students.
