Welcome to the Medics Basketball Club. Whether you have played a lot of basketball or none, EUMBC is a great place to play your basketball. We are a mixed basketball club, with students from all years. We field two teams in both sections of the intramural basketball league, which for those who haven’t played before, are league matches against other clubs and societies in the University.
Along with the matches on Saturday afternoon at the Pleasance gym, there is training on Friday evenings at 6pm, also at the Pleasance.
There are some great socials throughout the year, especially with events around NBA playoffs and All-Star games. A highlight of the year is the annual SNIMS competition, a weekend of sport and going out, hosted by one of the medical schools in Scotland. EUMBC takes two teams every year, so basketball is a great way to get involved in the SNIMS experience.
