The National Trust in England has produced a report which looks into the links between its properties and Empire, in particular the history and links between its buildings and landscapes and the Transatlantic slave trade. While this focuses only on properties south of the border, there are many close links between families and finances, as well as patterns of development that are found in Scotland.
