First of SEM2

This is my first blog back to Uni in SEM2

It has been 3 weeks since coming back to the second semester after a busy winter break. Everything is set up now, the courses and readings, and I have settled myself into the study. Here just to keep track of my first three weeks of study:

Week 1

I spent the whole week emailing about the course change request since I failed to enrol on ‘Data Science for Society’ last semester and I also wanted to enrol on courses from the School of Informatics. Unfortunately, all informatics courses clash with my compulsory course in EFI so I could only register for auditing, but I have successfully changed one of my current courses to ‘Data Science for Society’.

Week 2

I was so frustrated by the UK railway, all the construction and strikes. I have missed the intensive days for ‘Inclusive Society’ due to the cancellation of my scheduled train back to Edinburgh. Though I did catch up later by watching recordings and reading through the Miro board. I have sent a reflective report by the end of the week. The rest of the week is just catching up on content in other courses.

Week 3

Still catching up on the readings for the rest of the courses. Participate in the discussion of next week’s ‘Ethical Data Future’ topic.

Received an email about the first meeting of KIPP with the supervisor, hopefully, we could find a time slot that works for me and the supervisor for the meeting next week.

That is just the rough track of my first three weeks. I am looking forward to participating in other courses throughout the semester.

See you in the next blog.
