Week 5 – Reaching beyond writing. – Knowledge Integration and Project Planning: Data, Inequality and Society (2022-2023)

I’ve been caught up in a lot of my assignments lately. I am really struggling with the Python coding assignments. It has been hard for me to know what’s going on past the assessments themselves. This has made my decision to dial back the quantitative data portion of my project much easier and seem much more reasonable.

The more I read, the more I get lost in my topic and feel the urge to jump-ship. I have never been great at picking something early-on and sticking to it. I start to nitpick ideas and thought to the point where the subject matter is off-putting. I am still interested in my topic, but I would be lying if I said that I was confident in my decision making at the moment.

I have also been struggling with my blogging duties. I really do not like being vulnerable and sharing my thoughts online like this, so I’ve been keeping a personal journal on this process. The insight I have gained from others in this program are invaluable to me and I feel so grateful to have had their time. I’m worried I’m not able to be that for others, so I’ve been trying to be an active observer.
