Semester 2: Week 11

I am planning on continuing to keep some form of blog through the project finalization process because I do enjoy how it declutters my mind. Still, it is difficult to have these published out to everyone. I tend to hoard my submission and post them at a later date after the anxiety of posting lessens. It is interesting that as the weeks have progressed, I have definitely found my rhythm with writing these posts. Although I think that is more because my project has become clear. I do think it is difficult to keep the blog up where you are unsure in your direction because I find it counter productive and almost a form of reinforcing your stress or lack of project. This was especially true when it came to posting once a week last semester.

This week my cold/flu/??? has still not gone away. I am finishing up what I can and looking forward to properly resting for a couple of days. I am hoping everything goes smoothly with my ethics application and I can begin reaching out to neighbourhood organisations. I am still sure that I want to do both surveys and interviews (with interviews being “champions”), but we will see how much time we have and how many people respond.  I am struggling with my project plan mainly from being sick and having a hard time coherently explaining my vision for the project. I have found that a lot of my final output is dependent on many different little things going well. I’m not sure how to properly articulate the potential pivots while also showing my engagement with the blogs. Hopefully my engagement with the various course material I’ve encountered during the year and its role in the development of my project plan will be more clear. Since I did not even have a project partner until after I submitted my 1000 word reflection, a lot of my blog posts from term 1 are not as helpful as I would have hoped. This is mainly because I was reflecting for the purpose of keeping up with the schedule instead of reflecting with the purpose of having usable reflections later on (hindsight bias I guess??)

I hope everyone is having a much easier go! It has been so inspiring to read what has been posted. I’m excited to keep reading (if people keep posting) and also narrate some of the project process for those who are in the 2/3 year programme.
