Week 9&10
Reflection:
After reading these articles, I have gained a deeper understanding of the concept of community currencies, digital currencies, and their potential impacts on society. One interesting aspect that I have learned is that community currencies can be used as a tool for promoting social and financial inclusion, and can even help to support local businesses and economies. It was also interesting to learn about the various challenges associated with the implementation and management of community currencies, such as the difficulty of making them widely accepted and the potential impact of technology on social interactions.
Reading Plan:
Based on what I have learned, I plan to continue exploring the topic of digital currencies and community currencies. Specifically, I am interested in learning more about the potential of blockchain technology to support community currencies and the use of time banks as a form of community currency. I also want to further explore the social and environmental impacts of community currencies, including their potential to support sustainable consumption and the valuation of ecosystem services. Overall, I believe that understanding the potential of community currencies and digital currencies can help us to create more equitable and sustainable societies.
