Week 7 & Week 8
Last week, I discussed my project topic with my tutor Juli. Now my main problem is to find the right database. I do not have access to many databases, just as Juli worries. I’m looking for the right database to allow me to do data visualization.
Last Friday, I also finished the team report on the course of Post-COVID. Yesterday I also received the email of feedback from Winston. The teacher gave me a lot of detailed comments and shortcomings. In response to some suggestions made by teachers, I focused my research on how to make my suggestions easier to operate. I have to consider which group of people will make my plan easier to achieve. The design of application should also refer to the cases of more countries. As Winston suggests, giving an outcome is not the most important thing, it is more important to discuss why and how.
Today I saw the feedback of the group report in the course of Data Science for Society. I am very happy that our group has done well and I see everyone’s hard work paid off. Through this course, I found myself able to construct problems well and solve some programming problems. This was also my first encounter with GeoPython, which was previously operated in Python. By studying GeoPyhthon I could also see the changes over the years by mapping Geopyhthon. That’s one of the most important things I’ve learned from taking this class.
Hope everyone has a good week!
