Week 6 – Reading but ill week

I have centralised all my learning from the last 5 weeks this week in my own learning folder. But unfortunately I caught a bad case of flu and tried to finish my two assignments. Still, after trying my best to finish the first group assignment, the flu I felt got so much worse that I had to request a late submission for the Inclusive Society class.

For the group assignment on value chains I was mainly responsible for the social standards research part of the corporate value chain. We have focused on labour issues at H&M.The issue of labor practices in the value chain of fast fashion companies is a key aspect of sustainable development. From the production of raw materials to the manufacturing process and retail operations, there are numerous opportunities for companies to ensure that their labor practices are fair, safe, and respectful. This includes ensuring fair wages, safe working conditions, and ethical sourcing practices. By addressing labor issues in a sustainable manner, fast fashion companies can improve workers’ lives, enhance their overall brand reputation, and drive long-term business success.

Looking forward to next week as I recover from the flu 🤧.
