Week 4&5

These two weeks are mainly about the intensive and coding. I spent most of my energy on the two intensive courses in these two weeks—Data and Design for a Post Covid City & Gamifying Historical Narratives, which are the ones that I really looked forward to during the course selection. And I also finished the assessments from Data Science for Society and several online courses of advanced python. But I was not as efficient as I expected. It seemed I was occupied with many things, but I often found I was multi-slacking. I’m adjusting myself into a satisfied status for the coming dissertation work.

I have to complain a bit about the course Data and Design for a Post Covid City I took last week (sorry about this). The actual content was totally different from the course description, and some additional assessments were temporally added. But nothing has changed though I reported in the feedback section. I previously wished the course content would inspire my future thinking about my project.

So, the progress of my project in this period are only reading few papers and preparing my first individual supervision. I gradually have a clearer logic and “blueprint” about what I’m going to write. After I talk with my supervisor, I’m really willing to share sth more with you here.
