Week 4 my blog

With more intensive days, I have been taking more courses. This week I took a course on writing speculative fiction, and as a non-native speaker, writing a pure English novel is incredibly difficult for me. At the same time, it’s been a long time since I graduated from high school since I’ve been exposed to anything writing related. Although I had been a fan of fiction, it was limited to reading, and writing a novel was something I was trying for the first time, so I was both terrified and excited before the course started. It was a very interesting class, which systematically took us through many approaches to writing, and gave plenty of examples. Teachers encourgaed all people’s opinions, they are very lovely.

I hope the new week will be a new experience!

Terrified and excited – this describes my mood when approaching my “Neuropolitics of Decision Making” readings – I am so excited to learn about this area but so many new terms and concepts that are so overwhelming and hard to wrap my brain around. Good for you taking a leap to writing a novel! And in second language. WOW I am impressed!

Thank you for your encouragement! I finished the outline of the fiction last week, and I was very excited and relieved.
