  • International Women in Engineering Day 2026 - 23rd June 1.30pm - 5.00pm, Yew Lecture Theatre, The Nucleus in King's Building - The Molly Fergusson Initiative invites you to celebrate and mark International Women in Engineering Day. Book your free place: https://edin.ac/3SFHv7U
  • The Staff Pride Network in collaboration with Inclusive Engineering, will be hosting a Pride event at the Nucleus in King's Buildings. Join them on 18th June from 5pm -8pm for a screening of LGBTQ+ short films and a bite to eat! Free tickets here.
  • Event: Being FirstGen/working class at work: Panel Conversation & Networking Event - 22 June, 11:00-13:00 Edinburgh Futures Institute, Room 1.50  Registration Link Being FirstGen/ working class at work – Fill in form. Join us for a panel conversation on what it means to be FirstGen / working class at work. Our speakers will dive into a discussion about how our socio-economic background shape who and how we are within the academy and research development community, whether and why it matters.
  • Updated sections on EDI website: An updated Antisemitism page within the Respect section – aligning with our approach to addressing discrimination and supporting our Jewish communities
  • A new Islamophobia page, within the Respect section – aligning with our approach to addressing discrimination and supporting our Muslim communities
  • The Anti-Racist Learning Suite is now live! This new set of e-learning modules, resources and tools has been developed to help colleagues build confidence, strengthen racial literacy, and take meaningful anti-racist action across the University.
  • The Caring for Carers webpage has now been fully updated and expanded to offer clearer guidance, more practical support, and improved resources for colleagues with caring responsibilities.
  • A new framework for Neuroinclusion Facilitated Conversations, developed by HR Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, is now available to support teams in holding reflective, practical conversations about neuroinclusion and reasonable adjustments.
