Printing sustainability – printer removals

As part of the University’s Sustainable Printing Project, Informatics will lose about half its current printer and copier provision. This is inline with the rest of the University.

Details of the project can be found on the project SharePoint site

https://uoe.sharepoint.com/sites/sustainableprinting

The site includes a spreadsheet outlining the changes, but for Informatics it boils down to us losing the following printers:

Informatics Forum:

  • Ground floor
  • Level 2
  • Level 4
  • Level 5 School Office and HR Office (not the open area one)

Appleton Tower

  • Basement Workshop
  • Level 4
  • Level 6 Student Services Office (not the lab printer)
  • Level 7

This does mean that your nearest printer may well be on a floor above or below you.

The printer removals will be happening on Monday and Tuesday the 10th and 11th of November.
