Calling all PhD students: Chance to share your inspiring ideas for a better world!

 Falling Walls Lab Edinburgh is looking for twenty excellent young academics, entrepreneurs and professionals aged 35 or under with bold and fresh ideas which could have a positive impact on society. You will have 3 minutes to pitch your research or business idea to a high profile panel of judges and an interested audience of academics and representatives from business and policy organisation at the Falling Walls Lab Edinburgh on 29th July 2014. There will be a chance to network during the event and the best presenter will have the chance to speak at the international Lab Finale in Berlin on 8th November 2014.

 The application form is straightforward. You will be asked to provide:

•             your contact details

•             higher education qualifications (plus publications if you have them)

•             your motivation for applying

•             the title of your talk and a one sentence summary

•             and upload a PDF your CV

 The applications will be reviewed in early June after the deadline and we will let you know as soon as possible if you have been successful. There will also be specialist pitching and presentation training available in late June so you feel fully prepared to take to the stage at the event on 29th July.
