HyStorPor at All-Energy, Glasgow, May 11 and 12

We are delighted that, after a two-year in-person break due to Covid-19, All-Energy is back. Several members of the HyStorPor team will be presenting and/or showcasing their research at the conference, the UK’s biggest low-carbon energy and full supply chain renewables event.

Day 1 - May 11

16.00-17.30 Industry Decarbonisation: Setting the Scene

Prof Stuart Haszeldine will chair this session and also deliver a presentation: ‘Carbon sources for storage in Scotland: Bio or techno, and both?’

Day 2 – May 12

10.45 Transport Decarbonisation Show Floor Theatre

PhD researcher John Low will be presenting on: ‘A first look at hidden costs of road maintenance due to increased weight of zero emissions vehicles.’

11.00-12.30 Hydrogen and Fuel Cells: Innovation

Dr Katriona Edlmann will chair this session.

14.00-15.30 – Energy Storage: Batteries not included? PHS, Kinetics and H2

Dr Katriona Edlmann will present on ‘HyStorPor: Geological storage of hydrogen in the UK’. Our former Masters student Craig Allsop will present our recent work on hydrogen storage in salt caverns ‘Utilising publicly available datasets for identifying offshore salt strata and developing salt caverns for hydrogen storage’.
