HyStorPor researchers discuss hydrogen on BBC Radio 4

HyStorPor researchers have featured in an in-depth BBC discussion of the UK Government’s new Hydrogen Strategy, including the storage options for the low-carbon gas.

The University of Edinburgh’s Dr Eike Maria Thaysen, formerly a technical research assistant at HyStorPor, and Dr Katriona Edlmann, Chancellor’s Fellow in Energy, were interviewed by Victoria Gill on Radio 4’s Inside Science on 19 August (from 9 minutes).

The opportunity to speak on Inside Science followed publication this week of a new HyStorPor paper on microbes and hydrogen storage, led by Dr Thaysen.

The paper was also covered by Offshore magazine, Sky News and Hydrocarbon Engineering.

Dr Thaysen also provided expert commentary on the Hydrogen Strategy to the Science Media Centre.
