Need to take a break?

Between staring at the computer screen for hours on end and reading countless articles and books, your brain needs a break from time to time. It’s important to refresh your mind and body to be able to do the best work you can. Luckily, there are many places in and around the HCA building that are perfect for a quick study break!

Grab your belongings and head down to the HCA undergraduate common room (A.K.A. the Rosalind Mitchison Room) located on the second floor for some socialisation with your peers. If working hard in the SRR has built up your appetite, why not grab a snack or a coffee down in the Crystal Macmillan café. And if the weather permits, a brisk walk around the Meadows is sure to brighten your day.

Of course, you can always stay in the SRR and browse the collection to take your mind off of your studies. Try to find some books that interest you, or see if you  can find the oldest book in the collection.

After a much needed break, get back to work in the SRR with a clearer mind!
