Go EastSide Webinar: How does Regeneration energise a community?

EastSide Greenways are pleased to announce the sixth in a series of webinars hosted by EastSide Greenways in partnership with Queen’s University Belfast. Our sixth webinar will explore the principles and practice of Urban Regeneration; ‘How does Regeneration energise a community?’

Guest speakers:

  • Agustina Martire – Senior Lecturer in Architecture, Queens University Belfast
  • Mark O’Donnell – Deputy Secretary, Housing and Urban Regeneration, Department for Communities
  • Cathy Reynolds – Director, City Regeneration and Development, Belfast City Council
  • James Hennessy – Director, Paul Hogarth Company
  • Karen Purdy – Bloomfield Community Association

The webinar series is engaging key stakeholders and policy makers on the themes of sustainability and resilience including food, housing, energy and fuel. They explore the fundamentals of life which are required to create long term social, economic and environmental impact.

The aim of the webinars is to: Raise awareness of local issues with key stakeholders Connect decision and policy makers to local issues Challenge old cultures and create new attitudes Explore opportunities to pilot and deliver sustainable initiatives Discuss the impact that green infrastructure has on people and place in a city
